New Properties of Accor in Myanmar

Following an agreement on December 10th 2013 between Accor Hotel International and Myat Min Company the local hotel operator, three more hotels in Myanmar will be added.

Happy Lunar New Year of Horse 2014

The announcement brings Accor’s Myanmar development pipeline to six projects over the next three years. The three new properties, now under construction, will be Pullman Yangon Myat Min, Sebel Yangon Myat Min and Novotel Inle Lake Myat Min.

Once completed in 2015, the 300-room Pullman Yangon Myat Min will be the first Pullman hotel in Myanmar. The hotel is located mid-way between the city centre and Yangon International Airport.

The 100-room Sebel Yangon Myat Min will be a premium serviced apartment hotel for guests looking for long-stay accommodation and located near Pullman Yangon Myat Min. The property is the first development in Asia under the Sebel brand.

The 121-room Novotel Inle Lake Myat Min is an upper-mid-scale hotel located on the banks of Inle Lake, one of Myanmar’s most stunning natural attractions. It will open in 2014.

According to Accor’s senior vice president for Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Cambodia, Laos Myanmar and the Philippines, Patrick Basset, this grand international hotel group has long been focusing on Southeast Asia - a strategic and potential growing market. This expansion of Accor’s strong distribution channel and renowned hotel brands will benefit Myanmar tourism and also travelers around the world. The country’s tourism infrastructure will be developed, providing visitors with a greater access to luxury accommodation with convenient conditions.
